Investigations may take several months to complete.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Board does not have the authority to require a tower to refund any portion of tow fees or costs, and there is no guaranty or expectation that a complainant will be refunded any portion of money paid for an unlawful tow through the Board\u2019s disciplinary actions. Reimbursement for fees paid for unlawful tows should be negotiated between the vehicle owner and any of the following: the property owner, the tow company, insurance or resolved through civil action.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Damages to vehicles that may have resulted from the tow or storage of a vehicle are outside of the Board\u2019s legal authority.
