Oregon\u2019s light vehicle title fees were changed under Phase 2 of House Bill 2017 and are now based on the vehicle\u2019s MPG rating:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oregon DMV will update its computer system on March 5, 2025, to correctly charge the $192 electric vehicle title fee for all electric vehicle types under 26,000 pounds GVWR. This includes passenger vehicles, medium vehicles, mopeds and motorcycles. The title fee will apply to all transactions submitted on or after March 5, regardless of when the vehicle was sold. If the vehicle was sold before March 5 but submitted on March 5 or later, the $192 fee will be charged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fees for heavy vehicle titles and salvage titles are not impacted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
