WOODBURN — The Woodburn DMV, 1575 Mount Hood Ave, Suite #130, reopened at 8 a.m., Dec. 6, following an extended closure. The office was closed due to extensive water damage that occurred sometime after 8:30 p.m. Nov. 21 and before 2:45 p.m. Nov. 22.

Woodburn DMV is now open during its normal operating hours:

  • 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
  • 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Wednesday.

While the cause of the damage remains unknown, it did not appear to come from broken pipes or the roof. The back offices and testing area sustained damage, along with furniture, carpets, equipment and sheetrock. Contractors have spent the last two weeks making repairs. Customers were redirected to DMV offices in North and South Salem and Gladstone during the closure.

Many transactions don’t require going to a DMV office and can be done online at DMV2U.oregon.gov. Information about temporary service impacts or closures related to staffing or weather can also be viewed in real time at oregondmv.com before planning a visit to an office.

REAL ID – Now Boarding, May 7, 2025

Starting May 7, 2025, anyone 18+ must show identification that meets federal security standards set by the REAL ID Act to board a plane for flights within the U.S. A REAL ID-compliant Oregon driver’s license, instruction permit or identification card meets federal requirements, as does a U.S. passport, military ID and other types of federally accepted identification. To get a REAL ID, you must visit a DMV office and bring original documents that prove your identity, date of birth, state residence address and lawful status in the U.S.

Oregon DMV is urging people to avoid the rush and get their REAL ID sooner than later. We have hired 26 staff to work in field offices around the state exclusively for REAL ID transactions. These extra counter staff mean many more appointment slots to accommodate all customers’ needs before the federal REAL ID deadline. Learn more and make an appointment at Oregon.gov/REALID.
