Consumer lawyers (isuecardealers.com) and a related special interest group (Oregon Consumer Justice) have introduced House Bill 2801. This proposal at the Capitol in Salem will essentially outlaw spot delivery in Oregon.
Next Wednesday, February 8th at 8:00 AM, the House Business and Labor Committee will hold a public hearing on HB2801. You can register to testify in person, or online, by clicking here. If you don’t want to testify, but do want to watch the hearing, you can do that here (look for the date under Meetings on the right side of the screen).
You may also submit written testimony before the hearing begins by clicking here.
Please take a moment to look at the list of committee members here. Do you personally know any of them? If you do, please contact OVDA’s lobbyist, Darrell Fuller, at firstname.lastname@example.org. You may be able to offer important assistance in stopping this bill.
