CAT Zoom training session planned

The Oregon Department of Revenue (DOR) will host a live training session on the Zoom video conferencing platform in December to provide information to business taxpayers and tax professionals about 2021 legislative changes to the Corporate Activity Tax. The training session is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, December 7, 2021.

In addition to a basic overview of the CAT, the training will cover:

  • Review of 2020 filing trends
  • Overview of 2021 filing
  • Tax year 2021 changes
    • The expanded grocery exclusion
    • Changes for vehicle dealers
    • Changes for insurers
    • Fiscal year filing

The training will also include question and answer segments with CAT policy staff.
